Direct Deposit and Automatic Debits
Direct Deposit is a great way to make sure your paycheck is where you want it—in your account. For immediate access to your money, authorize your employer to deposit your paycheck directly into your checking or savings account. Ask the companies you pay regularly, such as utility, mortgage and insurance companies to sign you up for ACH/ Electronic Debit. With ACH, your bills are paid automatically from your bank account. No more writing checks, buying stamps, or searching for mailboxes.
Access your account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by touch-tone or voice. Access information about checking accounts, savings accounts, certificates of deposit and loans when you want it. You can even make a loan payment or transfer funds between accounts.
We are not obligated to pay any item presented for payment if your account does not contain sufficient collected funds. However, if you maintain your account in good standing, we may approve your reasonable overdrafts as a non-contractual courtesy. Generally, we will not approve an overdraft for you in excess of $500. These limits include our Non-Sufficient Funds and/or Overdraft (NSF/OD) Charge(s) of $25 per overdraft.
As of August 15, 2010, customers who wish for their Debit/ATM card transactions to be paid may wish to Opt-In to our overdraft payment program. Contact a teller or personal banker for more information.
